This is the personal home page of John Eliot LaGorga (Jahn Ell-ee-uht luh Gore-guh).
My snail-mail addresses are 3307 20th St, San Francisco, CA 94110, 1525 O'Brien Dr, Menlo Park, CA 94025, 1600 Holloway Ave, San Francisco, CA 94132 Thornton Hall Room 937. My email is [email protected]
I'm a mathematician with an affinity for geometry and algorithms. I studied analysis with Xiaozhe Hu at Tufts Univeristy and algebra with Serkan Hosten. I frequent the SF State and UC Berkeley geometry seminars.
My dad’s mom died of cancer when I was a teen. I work with big data so (hopefully) that happens less. I learned about computing in the life sciences while segmenting images of placentas with dr. Mary Wallingford. I've done a lot of lab automation and attend SLAS every year. I am facinated by the prospect of transformer based humanoid robotics. I operate a data mine to (hopefully) enable researchers.
I'm currently seeking work as a software engineer at series biotech firms. I love doing life science enablement at scale and want to work at the intersection of optimization, distributed systems, parametric design, and developmental biology. Critically I want to support new approach methodologies which align with the FDA modernization.
