This is the personal home page of Eliott LaGorga (el ee uht la gore guh).

My snail-mail addresses are 3307 20th St, San Francisco, CA 94110 (home), 1525 O'Brien Dr, Menlo Park, CA 94025 (work), 1600 Holloway Ave, San Francisco, CA 94132 Thornton Hall Room 937 (school). My telephone number is 315-415-6657. My emails are redirected to [email protected] (please mention versos in your subject to get into my priority queue).

I'm a mathematician with an affinity for geometry and algorithms. Xiaozhe taught me everything I remember about analysis. I’m interested in the convergence and explainability of linear programs. I even helped a startup apply them. I'm reading algebraic statistics with Serkan. Come say hello at the SF State or UC Berkeley geometry seminars.

My dad’s mom died of cancer. I work with big data so (hopefully) that happens less. I love that I get to work with all sorts of people with all kinds of backgrounds. I have come to despise all robots and their creators. I’ll be at SLAS if you wanna geek out about doing genetics at scale.

I’m living with the speedy alec and suraj – a good source of bad ideas – and just enough cats above a Nepalese restaurant in the Mission. I’m usually there although less recently. I like skateboarding around (posser!) and swimming. You can dance with me or support my soccer team. I sit and play in the evenings. I might host your next ski trip.

I’m easily excitable so proceed with caution – looking for weird applications of numerical pdes and new ways of thinking about parameteric design. I want to index a book (maybe yours?). I'm trying to run a zero waste vegan kitchen at home but haven't figured out egg substitutions.
